Support (Wales) draft strategy
|
Enabling Effective Support (EES)
is a UK wide initiative that has been developed by the
Department for International Development (DFID) in response
to the need for a more systematic approach to education
for global citizenship. It isn’t
something new. It is about identifying
and supporting the most effective mechanisms that will
help to bring about ‘global citizenship’
and build upon what has already been achieved.
This is your opportunity to contribute to this process.
The consultation period ends 16th July 04. Please return

Education
for Sustainable Development & Global Citizenship
booklet |
The
booklet sets out why schools should promote education
for sustainable development and global citizenship.
It provides some basic definitions, together with examples
of existing good practice, so that schools can learn
from others about how to develop learning opportunities.
The booklet also includes the Estyn guidelines for inspecting
and evaluating education for sustainable development
and global citizenship and identifies useful websites
and forthcoming support. |
