The role of Higher Education Institutions
within ESDGC is pivotal in that they education a great number
of the professionals and leaders of tomorrow’s society.
They have a large role to play within the environmental management
of their institutions and procurement policies, ensuring that
globally aware, ethically sound and environmentally balanced
processes are introduced. They also have potential for influencing
others outside the university through professional development
and training opportunities.
Current work is focussed on working with HEFCW and others
to develop opportunities for collating current practice and
sharing best practice, for developing training specific to
the sector.
